A late penalty from Adam Le Fondre was the difference at Broadhurst Park as FC United ran out victors over a stubborn Hebburn Town side.
The former Premier League striker kept his cool to fire in a second-half winner and delight Rebels boss Mark Beesley.
Beesley said: “I thought we created chances in both halves.
“They are a good team but we saw the game out well.”
