■ THE Wakes came into the game fresh off a superb 1-0 home victory over Basford United on Tuesday Night. Rugby Borough have had a superb start to the season in third place and would take something special for Bourne to get points on the road.
The first half saw Bourne control the game with the best efforts from Zac Allen after a Sam Bayly cross, before Connor Fury’s 30-yarder struck the crossbar.
Borough’s best chance came from a free-kick which was blocked by the wall.
