Steels tie up loose Cables

STOCKSBRIDGE Park Steels edged out Prescot Cables in a hard-fought encounter at the Auto Safety Centre Stadium.
The initial stages of the first half provided very little to talk about with both sides playing quite slowly as they looked to get a foothold in the game.
The first chance of the game went to Cables when league top scorer Ben Elliott headed down at goal but his effort was saved by keeper Ben Townsend.
Stocksbridge broke the deadlock on 23 minutes when a looping effort initially saved by Cables keeper Calvin Hare was tapped home ...
