Two contenders for goal of the season ensured that rampant St Ives downed high-flying Alvechurch to maintain their unbeaten home record and move to four points from play-offs.
Ives boss Ricky Marheineke praised his players for their effort and excellent thinking when they came under periods of sustained pressure from their visitors.
With both teams coming off the back of midweek defeats it was a question of who reacted best to those setbacks and the answer came very quickly.
