SHOLING earned a narrow but hard-fought victory over Taunton at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium in a match that could easily have ended differently.
A late volley from Jake McCarthy proved decisive, but it was an even later missed penalty by Taunton’s Ben Seymour in the closing stages that left the hosts to reflect on a missed opportunity to salvage a point.
