■ A BRIEF lapse in concentration cost St Neots dearly as they fell to a narrow home defeat to visitors Lichfield Town.
With just 15 minutes played, the visitors struck what proved to be the winning goal. Two home defenders hesitated over a clearance, allowing the alert Jack Edwards to nip between them and score.
St Neots had produced a lifeless first half but looked revitalised after the break, only to find the visiting defence unyielding. Kieran Barnes had a shot cleared off the line five minutes into the second period, before seeing another effort ...
