Eagles soar to win on first visit to Deva

BEDFORD TOWN celebrated victory in their first visit to the Deva Stadium against a Chester side who lacked any coherent ideas against well-drilled visitors.
Bedford were reduced to ten men after 48 minutes, when substitute Sam Brown received a straight red after a challenge on Jack Bainbridge, however the hosts did not assert themselves. Admittedly visiting keeper Nathan Ashmore made three fine saves, the pick being a double stop to deny Lewis Leigh and Tom Peers in quick succession.
