Long-serving skipper Reece Butler says he cannot believe the transformation at Chatham Town as they prepare to play in the FA Cup first round for the first time in 97 years.
Butler, 27, will lead the Chats into battle at National League North Buxton on Saturday with a place in round two up for grabs after a run that has seen them knock out Marlow, Ashford United, Deal Town and Step 2 Tonbridge Angels.
But he grew up around a very different-looking club from the ambitious one now competing near the top of the Isthmian Premier division.
