Billy must be catalyst for change

THE tragic death of Billy Vigar on September 25 has shaken football from top to bottom.
Put simply, it should never have happened.
When I walk past the local rugby club, I notice padding around the goalposts to reduce the risk of injury.
The horrific injury to Alex Fletcher in 2022 should have been the catalyst for similar change in football.
I remember writing to The NLP in November 2022 having witnessed a similar incident at a match between Camberley Town and Balham.
However, nothing happened, and now a young man had died as a result.
