BEDFORD Town earned their second win over Oxford City in a fortnight as a goal in both halves heaped more pressure on Ross Jenkins’ City.
The game was just four minutes old when Bedford took the lead. A cross was not dealt with by the City defence, the loose ball fell at the feet of Callum Tripp and he stroked past Sam Lewis to put his side ahead. The hosts did rally later in the half and Tom Scott’s rasping shot was just about pushed over by Luke Mewitt.
