John Coleman was already part of Aldershot footballing folklore long before he got the call to replace Tommy Widdrington as Shots boss.
The former Accrington Stanley manager was in the opposition dugout in August 2003 as both reformed clubs played their first match in the Nationwide Conference, and again in August 2008 when the Shots returned to the Football League after 16 years.
