■ HEATON Stannington were deservedly the first team to beat Matlock at home in the league this season thanks to a stoppage time winner.
Cameron Wilson’s penalty had put the home side in front after 17 minutes, but Stan levelled seven minutes later when a long ball over the top sent Jay Errington clear and he finished well.
Matlock, however, regained the lead on the stroke of half-time as Conor Washington and Kiyani Clayton combined to set up loanee Ryan Viggars for a neat debut goal.
