DAGENHAM & Redbridge secured a valuable home win after a hard-fought battle against Maidenhead United.
With both teams stuck in mid-table in the National League South, this was a game that could prove vital in giving either side a boost.
And it was the home side who nearly got off a perfect start in the sixth minute when a great cross from Joe Haigh found Christian Maghoma but his header was brilliantly saved by keeper Jordi Van Stappershoef.
