MORPETH continued to climb away from danger at the foot of the table with a fourth victory in six games, after winning only one of their first 11.
Isaac Allen pulled off a superb save to keep out an early effort from Rushall, who had claims for a penalty turned down after captain Liam McAlinden went down. Allen then saved Carter Lycett’s free-kick as the Pics pushed.
However, it was Will Dowling’s 20th-minute strike from Frankie Coulson’s pass that proved to be the difference between two well-matched sides.
