■ BISHOP AUCKLAND won their first in six at the expense of Blyth Spartans’ poor display in front of goal.
The visitors took the lead after 20 minutes thanks to a counter-attack that caught Blyth’s back line out. Wayne Whitfield’s low, driven cross into the six-yard box took a deflection off a Blyth defender and found its way into the net.
Their lead didn’t last long, as only a few minutes later Blyth earned a deserved equaliser. Danny Anderson’s first-time volley in the box was finished with aplomb into the top-left cor...
