■ PONTEFRACT Collieries and Dunston shared the spoils in a hard-fought contest, with each side enjoying a dominant half.
Dunston were the sharper outfit before the break, pressing aggressively and limiting Pontefract’s progress. Their pressure told when a long ball over the top released David Robinson, who poked home the opener.
The second half belonged to Pontefract, as Jimmy Williams’ side stepped higher up the pitch and took control of possession, though Dunston stood firm and chances were scarce.
