Simon Grayson says he was disappointed but not surprised to be sacked by unpopular Hartlepool chairman Raj Singh last month.

The former Leeds, Sunderland and Huddersfield boss was viewed as a major coup for the National League side when he was appointed in June.
A huge turnover of players followed, and initial signs were promising as Pools took ten points from their first four matches to go joint-top of the nascent table.
But a subsequent run of one win in 11 games saw Singh wield the axe – and break a pre-season promise in the process.
