AKHEEM Rose was the matchwinner once more as Hednesford Town revelled in a narrow but nonetheless important away win at Ashton United.
The result - their sixth consecutive league win -maintains their grip on top spot after a tight battle at Hurst Cross, one which saw the hosts fashion a chance after four minutes.
Luca Navarro’s incisive pass saw Alex Byrne’s cross knocked wide of the far post by Darius Osei, before Joel Taylor’s raking effort flashed beyond Ashton’s right-hand post two minutes later.
