Rain forces premature end

TORRENTIAL rain that began shortly before kick-off that fell on an already heavy pitched resulted in Lancaster-Rushall being abandoned after 34 minutes.
Worsening conditions caused the referee to initially stop the game after 25 minutes but with rain seemingly easing and both managers consulted, this contest resumed. The heavy rain re-turned soon after, forcing an abandonement with Rushall leading 1-0.
