FEW, if any, saw this result coming. After all, a resurgent Enfield had put together a four-game unbeaten run while Chelmsford, despite being higher in the table, had only scored three goals in six previous league outings.
But the Clarets made it seven Boxing Day wins on the spin, this time emphatically giving the Towners a right pasting in front of a bumper 1,200-plus crowd.
Before kick-off, Chelmsford re-signed Kane Crichlow and acquired Charlee Adams, quality players who both contributed to an outstanding performance.
