NORTHERN COUNTIES EAST

■HANDWORTH took advantage of the bulk of the Premier Division games being postponed by climbing up to the fourth in the table following their 2-1 victory at home to Albion Sports.
All the goals came in the second half with Alex Wonham handing the hosts a 67th-minute lead before Benny Harriott headed in a second on 83 minutes.
There was a late rally from the visitors with Nathan Cartman halving the deficit but Handsworth held on.
