Brett McGavin’s two yellows inside 24 minutes hampered Yeovil, but the Glovers survived to a shootout where the outstanding Ward once more staked his claim for Yeovil’s player of the season.
Yeovil made two changes, with James Plant and the York-bound Morgan Williams replaced by Harvey Greenslade and new signing Dakarai Mafico.
