■BOWERS & PITSEA enjoyed a comfortable afternoon as they swept aside Brightlingsea Regent in a five-star display at the Len Salmon Stadium.
The hosts were ahead after just two minutes when Ross Wall floated a teasing cross from the left and Jamie Lee Salmon powered a header beyond the helpless keeper. Bowers continued to dominate and doubled their lead on 29 minutes, Michael Bareck calmly slotting low into the bottom right corner.
Eight minutes before the break Salmon struck again, producing a delightful left-footed lob over the onrushing goalkeeper...
