■ WALTHAM ABBEY made a spectacular start against Heybridge Swifts, scoring four times in the first 16 minutes, before strolling to the three points at Capershotts.
Debutant Abbots goalkeeper Fred Burbidge made an important save after four minutes, keeping out an effort from Samuel Adeyeye.
Soon after, Declan Rydings opened the scoring and within 60 seconds one had become two as Kai Brown beat Marcus Garnham.
