LEIGHTON started brightly to take the lead via Kyal Williams inside ten minutes. He initially moved the ball out to Tolu Ikuyinminu, and the wing-back’s cross wasn’t dealt with before Williams struck across Trent Carter-Rogers with aplomb.
Unfortunately for Carter-Rogers, his day would go from bad to worse, as a calamitous spill resulted in him lunging for the ball outside his box earned him a straight red in the 22nd minute.
