MACCLESFIELD followed up their unbelievable, and historic, FA Cup victory against holders Crystal Palace in style.
After a shaky start, Macc took control, although they didn’t open the scoring until the second half. Opportunities came and went for Isaac Buckley-Ricketts, Luke Duffy and Luke Matheson.
Alfie Potter’s well-struck half volley was the only opportunity of note for the visitors, which flew beyond Max Dearnley’s far post without troubling the keeper.
