BEDFORD weathered sustained firsthalf pressure to secure victory, with goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore producing a string of outstanding saves.
Alfreton dominated the opening period, forcing their visitors deep and winning a dozen corners, but they could not find a breakthrough.
Ashmore was central to Bedford’s resistance, denying Josh Ayres and Adam Lund from close range before defenders scrambled the ball off the line.
