MARINE and South Shields shared the spoils after an eventful ending in Merseyside.
The first half really struggled to get going with the visitors seeing lots of the ball in the opening stages.
Against the run of play, Marine’s Finlay Sinclair Smith thought he had found the opening goal only to see his strike smack the left-hand post.
A minute later, Sonny Finch found the top-left corner with what looked like a cross to give his side a 26th-minute lead.
