■ JACK Baxter’s superb strike set Buckland Athletic on the way to a 2-0 victory at Newquay in the only game to survive the weather.
The fifth-placed Bucks took advantage of the decimated fixture list to close the gap on the top four with an impressive win on the road.
The victory saw the visitors complete a league double over the Peppermints, having beaten them 3-1 in the reverse fixture on the opening day of the season.
