EAGLES’ WEEKEND IS OFF TO A FLYER

BEDFORD won at home for the first time on a Saturday in the league this season.
A fairly even match didn’t really burst into life but saw some memorable moments, including a Nathan Ashmore save to keep out Adam Blakeman’s low 20-yard effort and a Tyrone Marsh shot that was blocked.
The Eagles took the lead on 29 minutes when a searching cross from the left wasn’t dealt with by the defence and Josh Castiglione latched onto a poor half-clearance to fire in from 12 yards.
