■ THERE was no stopping Clitheroe as they brushed past Darlaston Town with a convincing victory.
Clitheroe opened the scoring in the first minute after a Josh Briggs attempt was deflected into the net.
The Blues hit a quick-fire double through Harry Scarborough and Lewis Tricket to make it three in 30 minutes
Veron Parny and Danny Wilkins put the game out of sight for Darlaston before the half as they scored Clitheroe’s fourth and fifth goals.
Scarborough and Luke Gill scored after the break in quick succession to make it 7-0.
