SOUTH SHIELDS built on Tuesday’s crucial win over title rivals AFC Fylde with a comfortable victory over Curzon Ashton as Sean McGurk, Paul Blackett and Dan Dodds all netted.
McGurk, found by Sonny Finch, opened the scoring after three minutes with the help of an Adam Barton deflection that sent his curler past Callum Hawkins.
The leaders doubled their lead on the quarter-hour mark. Finch fired in a cross from the right that was converted by Blackett for his seventh strike in five games.
