PETERBOROUGH Sports secured all three points against Alfreton Town, striking early in the second half before sealing the victory late on.
The Turbines’ Max Booth produced the first effort of the afternoon on seven minutes but his shot was comfortably saved by Charlie Casper.
Alfreton came closest to scoring on 24 minutes. Centre-back Max Hunt unleashed a powerful effort that crashed against the bar, with the Turbines relieved to see the ball bounce to safety.
