OXFORD CITY secure three points on the road ending Southport’s seven-game unbeaten run.
A slow start for the Sand-grounders as they could only watch DJ Campton-Sturridge run between two centre-halves before he rounded Chris Renshaw and gave City a shock lead within three minutes.
Southport responded well as Sonny Hilton found Jordan Slew out wide and his effort deflected to Malakai Mckenzie, who forced a great save out of Max Metcalfe. From the corner came the equaliser, Luke Griffiths finding Ted Lavelle at the back post.
