Whelpdale brace leads a Ram raid by Hillians

BURGESS Hill Town kept their playoff challenge alive by comfortably seeing off Ramsgate to inflict a first home defeat of 2026 on the Rams.
A George Vorster brace, plus strikes from Chris Whelpdale and Kaan Bennett, sealed the win with Rolando Onu and Greg Cundle responding for the hosts. The Hillians led inside the first 30 seconds with Whelpdale poking home at the back post after Ben Pope’s initial shot was scuffed into his path.
Pope should have made it two a few minutes later but prodded a shot wide of goal with only the goalk...
