■HENDON moved further
away from the drop zone after earning a point against Raynes Park Vale at a blustery and cold Grand Drive.
Although Vale’s Marcus Hill was the busier goalkeeper early on, David Omilabu was denied by a brilliant Josh Strizovic save. Three minutes later, Kenny Beaney nearly opened the scoring with a corner that swerved goalwards, before Strizovic acrobatically tipped the ball away.
There was plenty of attacking intent from both teams, reminiscent of the 4-4 draw in January, but little to show for it.
