Courageous Curzon close on survival

CHORLEY suffered a narrow defeat to Curzon Ashton, with a first-half strike from player-manager Adam Barton proving decisive.
In a match that lacked quality, the visitors took the lead in the 37th minute. A Ruben Curley corner was delivered to the back post, where it was headed back across and met on the volley by Barton, who finished from close range.
Chorley were furious not to have been given a free-kick, or better still a penalty kick, after Adam Blakeman was pushed down to the floor shortly before the visitors went up the other end...
