JAMES Edmonson’s late goal secured a play-offs place for ten-man Macclesfield as they came from behind to beat Merthyr Town.
It leaves the out-of-sorts Martyrs, beaten now in six of their past eight matches at Penydarren Park, outside of the top seven for the first time since November.
“It’s difficult emotionally to keep picking ourselves up,” rued manager Paul Michael. “But when the chances present themselves, we’re not putting the ball in the net.”
