A POOR match saw both defences prove hard to beat.
The visitors went close on 26 minutes when Joshua Cavallo rifled a cracking shot from distance that landed just wide of the far post.
And Stamford closed Bury down quickly throughout the first half, with it taking Bury until the 34th minute to get their first shot at goal when Max Maughn shot from distance but high over the bar.
Early in the second period, Stamford keeper Tom Jackson saved Jack Keeble blushes when a horrendous back-pass almost went across the goalline.
