WESTON-super-Mare missed the chance to go third in the table, and a chance of winning the league next weekend, when they were held to a turgid goalless draw at Dagenham & Redbridge.
Miscommunication between Ben Nightingale – on his debut – and Will Lannin-Sweet gave the Seagulls a chance after eight minutes, but Luke Spokes hit a post and the rebound went wide. Weston went close three times, Spokes firing just wide, Sam Avery heading over and a defender nicked the ball off Louis Britton.
