This time last many goals week, Connor Sansom was sitting in the pub watching his beloved Boreham Wood lose to Rochdale in a dramatic National League play-off final.
Today, the 29-year-old goalkeeper will walk out under the arch himself aiming to fire Cockfosters to glory in the Isuzu FA Vase.
“I’m Borehamwood born and bred, so I was absolutely gutted they didn’t get promoted,” says Sansom, whose side face Wessex League outfit AFC Stoneham in today’s Wembley showpiece.
