LEGEND GEOFF ‘CHUFFED’

THE family of AFC Stoneham president Geoff Smith say he died a proud man after learning that the Purps had won the FA Vase just hours before he passed away.
Smith performed almost every role possible during 60 years of service for the Eastleigh-based outfit and was due to sit in the Royal Box at Wembley on Finals Day.
He was also going to be presented with an award at half-time for his services to Stoneham and grassroots football.
