College Forces Turnbull To Quit Blyth Spartans

Stephen Turnbull has left Blyth Spartans due to a change in personal circumstances.

STEPHEN TURNBULL has left Blyth Spartans due to a change in personal circumstances.

The ex-Hartlepool, Gateshead and Harrogate midfielder is about to embark on a full-time college course, which may involve him working offshore.

Stephen TurnbullAs a result he was unable to commit to Blyth and has now left Croft Park.

Spartans boss Tom Wade is sad to see Turnbull go and told the club’s website: “It is a shame that Ste has said he’s leaving as he’s a great lad and a great footballer, but with the change in his personal circumstances, he won’t be able to fully commit to us this season.

“He goes with the best wishes of everyone at the club and we wish him well in his future.”
