Rooney relishes his move north

PAUL Rooney says he is happy to call the north-east his new home after joining Stockton Town.
The 29-year-old has spent the majority of his career in the National League and National League South at the likes of Dover, Dartford and latterly, Havant & Waterlooville.
He has also served Millwall, Torquay United and Colchester United in the EFL.
But on joining the Anchors, Rooney said: “I’m looking forward to it. They say ‘it’s a lot tougher up North’ but I’m Irish so I like to think I’m hard enough for it.
