Clark agrees a Gibson deal

HARTLEPOOL United boss Lee Clark has boosted his back line with the signing of experienced defender Liam Gibson following his departure from Harrogate Town. The 29-year-old has impressed Clark and his management team during a trial period to earn a one-year deal at Victoria Park.

A Newcastle United youngster, Gibson spent three years at Morecambe, amassing more than 170 Football League appearances.
Gibson said: “Having been in with the lads since the start of pre-season, it didn’t take me long to realise what this club is all about.”
