Steve Bates has challenged his Carshalton Atheletic players to prove he was right to do his transfer business early this summer.
The Robins scraped to Isthmian Premier Division safety on the final day of last season, staying up by two points after a 1-0 home win over St Albans.
Bates, who came in as boss in February, now hopes to build on his survival success and has brought back goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski and Ethan Kaiser to the club while keeping hold of star man Nathan Young-Coombes, whose goals helped keep the Surrey club at Step 3.
