Every summer, the same questions come around. ‘Why are the fixtures out so late? Why can’t we find out sooner if we’ve been laterally moved? Surely AI could sort all this out?’
They’re all fair questions. After all, in 2026 we’re using artificial intelligence to write reports, analyse matches and even help recruit players. So why can’t it produce a fixture list?
