ALDERSHOT Town boss Scott Davies was a happy man after his side upped through the gears in the second half at Braintree Town to win their final friendly before the big kick-off.
The Iron – relegated from the National League last season – almost got off to a perfect start when Louie Johnson headed just wide after a quarter of an hour.
