Elliot Long says the timing is ‘perfect’ to return to National League South after committing his future to Billericay Town.
The 25-year-old celebrated his new deal with the Isthmian Premier play-off winners by scoring a wondergoal in a 3-0 pre-season win over League One side AFC Wimbledon a fortnight ago.
Now preparing for life back at Step 2, Long believes he is far better equipped for the challenge than during his previous stint in the division with Welling United.
