■TONBRIDGE ANGELS got off to a perfect start to their campaign with a comprehensive victory against an out-of-sorts Braintree Town.
The visitors got their opener just before the quarter-hour when a Harry Gardner cross found Lamar Reynolds at the near post, allowing him to poke home the opening goal.
And it wasn’t long before the Angels doubled their lead when a Reynolds shot came back off the bar and rebounded to Jephte Tanga, who headed home.
It should have been 3-0 just before the break, and a second goal for Tanga, but his shot was well saved by Iron ...
